On the soca front, the King of Steam and one of the Caribbean’s finest, Yung Bredda out of Trinidad, headlines an impressive roster of local talent including reigning Soca Monarch Diana Chapman, former Soca Monarch and reigning Dancehall Monarch Carlvin Burnett OKC, Omaiah Hall, AW Lyrical accompanied by The Heatwave Band. Two of Guyana’s favourite selectors, Mix Master Tony, and Selector Andre will provide entertainment throughout the night, ensuring non-stop energy from start to finish.
“This event represents the best of what Caribbean music has to offer,” said event organizer Andrew Tyndall. “Whether you’re a steelpan purist, a brass band enthusiast, or a soca lover, there’s something magical about experiencing all three genres on one stage.”
The event has quickly become a highlight on the Cricket Carnival Guyana calendar since its inception, offering both locals and visitors an authentic taste of the region’s rich musical heritage.
