Kaieteur News – The Ministry of Public Works has received 18 bids for its project to rehabilitate and construct several hinterland roads in Region 10.
At a recent opening of bids at the office of the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB), it was revealed that the project will be executed in two phases, covering Lots 38 to 47 and Lots 48 to 55.
This publication understands that the ministry has been executing similar works in a number of hinterland regions. The upgrades are to ensure the roads are more durable and to improve connectivity. The government in its 2025 budget had allocated a sum of $9 billion to execute these road works.
