Kaieteur Sports – Albion Community Centre Cricket Club (ACCCC) whipped Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club (RHTYSC) by nine wickets in the Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) Two Days 1st Division Cricket competition.
In their top-of-the-table clash at the Area H Ground in Rose Hall Town, Albion won the toss and inserted RHTYSC to bat first and they were skittled out for 96 in just 22.5 overs with Sylus Tyndall making 33.
Bowling for Albion- Off spinner Leon Cecil with 7-46 from 10 overs was the destroyed. He was supported by Veerasammy Permaul with 2 wickets.
Albion CCCC in their first inning fared a little better being dismissed for 102 in 29 overs, securing a lead of just five runs.
Damian Cecil 31 and Ari Afrizal Kadir 22 were the top scorers.
Bowling for RHTYSC – left arm spinner Keith Simpson led the fight back with 5 for 14. He was backed up by Matthew Pottaya and Jeremy Sandia with two wickets each.
In their second innings RHTYSC fared worst and were skittled out for a paltry 62 with Clinton Pestano scoring 30.
Doing the damage with the ball for Albion CCCC were Gaurav Ramesh with 4 wickets. He was supported by Leon Cecil 3-10, for a match haul of 10- 56. Veerasammy Permaul also snared three wickets.
Needing 57 runs to win Albion CCCC eased to 57-1 with Damian Cecil making 29 while Ari Afrizal Kadir was unbeaten on 16 to give Albion victory by 9 wickets.
