From Leonora with love

Dear Editor,

It is with exalted exuberance that the elated people of Leonora excitingly welcome the inauguration of Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali as the ninth President of the Republic of Guyana, Head of State and the Commander – in – Chief of the Armed Forces. The will of the people have mandated that this son of the soil of Leonora, serve another five-year term to continue to develop this nation once again, surpassing his performance from his first term lasting from 2020 to 2025.

Without exception, all the religious bodies in Leonora, be they Christians, Muslims, Hindus or otherwise, all the pastors, priests, maulvis, imams, pandits, purohits, members, attendees, devotees, pray with one voice for the benevolence of His Excellency and his family, to be guided by the hands of the Almighty with His blessings so that, under his mantle-ship, this nation will pursue a path of righteousness to achieve the goals and aspirations for holistic development.

Without any expostulation, all the educational institutions located in Leonora, be they, nursery, kindergarten, primary, secondary, technical or vocational, all the lecturers, teachers, helpers, maintenance crews and students, do trust this former pupil of Leonora, President Dr. Ali, to take this country to academic excellence.

Without any doubt, all the sports clubs representing all indoor and outdoor games, be they cricket, football, martial arts, tennis, chess, the captains, coaches and players, do endorse this sports enthusiast, Dr. Irfaan Ali, a member of the Leonora Sports Club, to uplift the standard of all sports to maximize the state’s competitive level.

Without any reservation, the entire business, industrial and commercial sectors operating in Leonora, do support this business magnate, Dr. Mohamed Ali, to catapult Guyana to realize its complete resourcefulness for the benefit of all Guyanese.

Without any hesitation, all the social service organizations functioning in Leonora, pledge their commitments to help foster the aims of the by-laws, so that this duty son, Dr. Ali, will ensure that the social infrastructure in this land will eradicate all human frailties which limit the human potentials in this land and upgrade all social amenities.

Without any indecisiveness, all the vigilante groups, including the Leonora Police Station Management Committee, the Leonora Community Policing Group and the Leonora Community Developing Councils, do hereby ascribe to cooperate with this great leader, the President of Guyana, so that his Excellency will maintain, peace and stability for the people of Guyana and make this country a safe and secure place to live.

Without any irresolution, the Leonora PPP/C group, including the Youth and Women’s arms, do champion the cause to advance the pathway of the President, so that he will serve all, equally, equitably, fairly and justifiably, in order to promote a One Guyana.

Indeed, all the people of Leonora, including Edinburg, Groenveld, Shanty Town, Pasture, New Housing Scheme, Para Field, Seafield and Sea Spray, collectively do extend warmest congratulations to their hometown hero, Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, on being convincingly elected to the highest position in this country as President of this land of many waters and people, to humbly serve another five years with distinction.

Congratulations Sir, you do us a great honor in living up to the expectations of us and to carry on the work in the same vein as your parents, fore-parents and all the members of the popular Ali family did in the service of the PPP/C for peace, progress and prosperity. Leonora is extremely proud of you and the First Lady, Arya Ali and we all send our heartfelt love.
