Kaieteur News – Local artiste and social media sensation Lolita “Lola Doll” Callender was on Saturday night shot about eight times outside her Texas Square, East Ruimveldt, Georgetown home.
The shooting occurred at 23:35h.
Callendar, 33, was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) for treatment.
Kaieteur News understands that the social media personality’s condition is listed as critical.
She was shot to her neck, face, hands and right leg, by a man on a motorcycle, Police said.
“Information received that she was shot in her motor car, by a male on a motorcycle, infront of her house,” police said.
When the Kaieteur News arrived at the GPHC, relatives and friends gathered in the compound anxiously awaiting news on her condition.
Those gathered at the public hospital joined hands and prayed for Callendar to survive the ordeal.
Investigators are on the hunt for the suspect. Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) are being checked.
