Dear Editor,
The Clerical and Commercial Workers’ Union (CCWU) rejects all forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia, and intolerance, including institutional racism and racial prejudices, and stereotyping during the period of the general and regional elections.
CCWU denounces demagogic politicians and institutions, who exploit the legitimate concerns of people about economics.
Social and public insecurity, issues related to reputation and victimisation, and a multi-ethnic society, many members of which are themselves affected by the insecurity for which they are sometimes held responsible.
CCWU criticises politicians and institutions that have manipulated public concerns about economic changes over the past five years, stating that the outcome is clear.
