Dear Editor,
During a recent Political Insights interview hosted by Ms. Kiana Wilburg under the Sheriff News Network, Mr. Frederick McWilfred made an erroneous statement to the effect that “Gary Best” was “sidelined” by Presidential Candidate Aubrey Compton Norton when he assumed the Leadership of the People’s National Congress Reform. Having not heard from Ms. Wilburg, subsequently, to verify its accuracy, I find it necessary to issue this correction.
Mr. McWilfred’s assertion is simply not true. In fact, his assertion is incorrect, baseless, non-factual speculative and inventive. Mr. McWilfred could have easily cleared up any doubts with me by simply asking a question two years ago.
Mr. McWilfred ought to recall that I was elected to the Central Executive Committee of the PNCR, at the same Biennial Congress Presidential Candidate Aubrey Compton Norton was elected Leader, and to which I served a full term. Mr. McWilfred should also recall that I publicly declined to seek any election to the Party’s Central Executive Committee at its last Biennial Congress and publicly indicated that I would rather harness my energies toward a return to Government via a PNCR led coalition. To that endeavour, I continue.
Editor, let me further state that I continue to be an active member of the PNCR. I support the APNU. I support Presidential Candidate Norton and I am involved in the 2025 General and Regional Elections to take back government.
Trusting I have set the record straight and corrected Mr. McWilfred’s unfortunate error.
Highest Regards,
Rear Admiral (Rtd)
Dr. Gary A R Best
Candidate
2025 General and Regional Elections.
