Farmers remanded for attempted murder

Kaieteur News – Two farmers were remanded on Friday for attempted murder.
The defendants, 20-year-old Shamsundar Khamo called ‘Nest’ and 23-year-old Vijay Khamo called ‘Guru’, both of Grassfield, Enmore, East Coast Demerara (ECD), were hauled before Magistrate Sunil Scarce at the Vigilance Magistrates’ Court to answer the charge.
The duo was charged jointly and was not required to plead since the charge was indictable. It is alleged that they, on August 11, 2025, at Enmore, ECD, attempted to murder Naresh Bisnauth.
Magistrate Scarce denied Shamsundar and Vijay bail and the matter has been adjourned to August 27, 2025.
