Kaieteur News – A Venezuelan man was electrocuted on Friday while on duty at a location along the Soesdyke-Linden Highway.
He was reportedly employed by a local construction firm. Up to press time, police were yet to issue a statement on the matter and the man’s wife was too distraught to speak with Kaieteur News.
Information reaching Kaieteur News suggests that unknown to the man, the tray of the truck he was operating got into contact with a high voltage wire. The man exited the vehicle to open the tray when he was electrocuted.
Investigations are ongoing.
