Kaieteur Sports – Former Senior Essequibo Inter-County opening batsman Ravi Beharry hit a boundary-studded, unbeaten 129 to spur Untouchable to victory in the final of the Hibernia Over-40, T20 competition against Caribbean Cricket Club 2 Sunday night at Hibernia ground, Essequibo Coast, Region 2 (Pomeroon-Supenaam).
The right-handed Beharry struck nine sixes and seven fours to help Untouchable reach 271-7 with two balls to spare replying to Caribbean Cricket Club 2’s competitive 264-9 from the allotted 20-overs.
Beharry arrived at number 3 when his team was in some trouble at 16-1 but he launched his 58-ball innings with a bunch of boundaries.
Yaseer Mohamed grabbed two wickets for 28 runs from two overs, bowling for Caribbean Cricket Club 2, who won the toss and opted to take first strike.

Untouchable received a trophy and $200,000 while Caribbean Cricket Club 2 collected a trophy and $100,000. Beharry was named the player-of-the-match for his brilliant batting performance.
He was the recipient of a trophy.
Several teams on the Coast participated in a round-robin phase before the top four teams featured at the semi-final segment.
Caribbean Cricket Club 2 recently won the Essequibo Softball Cricket League Over-40 T20 Championship.
They, Untouchable and other teams will feature again when the next competition starts shortly.
The Hibernia tournament was sponsored by US-based Guyanese Deeraj Ramnauth. Ramnauth was on hand to witness the final and helped with the presentation of the prizes.
