Dear Editor,
Kaieteur News – It was disappointing that two contesting parties for the upcoming GRE were absent from ERC’s Code of Conduct signing (INews August 5).
Of the two, one is new to the political landscape, while the other is known not to shake hands, reply to a request from the President and now not availing itself to the signing event. But it is the new party that is most disappointing. On this, its first foray it can be perceived to have taken a dissenting position. It is hoped this is not the case.
Whatever the reason(s) for the absences, both parties should have availed themselves to sign the Code.
It has been noted that a prominent founder has delegated the simple task of signing.
