Kaieteur News – The English and Scottish masonic districts of Guyana in collaboration with Global Stars Group, launched the ‘Guyana Freemasons’ Herald, the official masonic newspaper last Saturday at the Herdmanston Lodge, Georgetown.
The newspaper intends to bring unity to the masonic fraternity, celebrate and document the achievements of the masonic fraternity in Guyana and promote the public image of the fraternity, in keeping with the mandate of the UGLE.
The masonic fraternity in Guyana also hopes to strategically connect freemasons globally while promoting Guyana’s masonic heritage and image through the distribution of the newspaper.
The initiative was endorsed by the RWDGM (English Registration) Rt. Wor. Bro. Roysdale Forde and the RWDGM (Scottish Constitution) Bro Sean Noel.
The newspaper is set to make its first publication in October of this year and will be distributed bimonthly. Increase in the frequency of the publication can be expected but will be based on its demand.
Distribution will commence with printed copies, targeting the local fraternal network primarily but also publicly as necessary; within the first year of the launch the group aspires to develop an electronic version, increasing the distribution globally for both the printed and electronic versions of the newspaper.
The newspaper will highlight Masonic contributions to society, charitable and otherwise, Masonic activities (upcoming and past), Masonic achievements and accomplishments, and Masonic history and traditions.
The paper will be published and distributed bimonthly (once every two months) with its first publication set for October 2025. Thereafter, an increase in the frequency of the publication can be expected but will be based on its demand. Distribution will commence with printed copies, targeting the local fraternal network primarily but also publicly as necessary. Within the first year of the launch of the newspaper, we hope to develop an electronic version, increasing our distribution globally for both the printed and electronic versions of the newspaper.
