…Ritorna Vincentori, John Bull steals the show
Kaieteur Sports – Slingerz Racing Stable once again stamped its authority on the local racing circuit, storming to victory at Sunday’s J’s Summer Stakes hosted at the Bush Lot United Turf Club, West Coast Berbice (WCB).
The highlight of the day came in the feature one-mile Summer Stakes, where Slingerz’ newly acquired four-year-old bay colt from Brazil, Ritorna Vincentori, piloted by jockey Chavez, romped to an emphatic win.
The Brazilian import thundered past the finish line ahead of Spankhurst and Anthem King, leaving no doubt about his class and potential.
Owner of Slingerz Racing Stable, Javed Ali, expressed his satisfaction with the performance, especially with eyes now firmly set on the prestigious Guyana Cup.
His reigning champion, Olympic Kremlin, will return to defend the title on August 17 at the Rising Sun Turf Club.
Meanwhile, the stable also made its presence felt in the six-furlong Open Sprint Classic, where John Bull produced a blistering run to take top honours. Regal Man trailed in second.

In the J Class and Lower six-furlong dash, Hayley surged ahead to take the win, while Top Gun and GT Boss finished second and third, respectively.
