One wanted, another arrested for taxi driver’s murder
The wanted bulletins that were issued by the GPF
Kaieteur News – The Guyana Police Force (GPF) on Monday issued two wanted bulletins for two men in connection with the murder of 30- year-old taxi driver Ron Clarke, of William Street, Kitty, Georgetown and 76 Wisroc Housing Scheme, Linden.
Wanted is 20-year-old Travis Brewster, whose last known address was Blueberry Hill, Dundus Hill, Linden. Police said another man, 20-year-old Seon Johnson, whose last place of abode is Lot 753 Well Road, South Amelia’s Ward, Linden, has been arrested.
GPF is urging anyone who may see, or have information on Brewster, to contact the nearest police station or call 225-6940, 225-8196, 226-7476, 225-2317, 225-8196, 227-1149.
Dead: Ron Clarke
Clarke was reportedly found dead last Thursday in a drain at Victory Valley, Wismar Linden, Region Ten, at approximately 19:15 hrs.
A teen construction worker was reportedly walking along a street in Victory Valley when he saw Clarke motionless in a drain.
He alerted persons who removed Clarke and placed him in a passing car. He was taken to the Linden Hospital Complex, where doctors confirmed that he was dead.
An examination of the body revealed that he was shot several times.
Five gunshot injuries were seen on Clarke’s right arm, two to his groin, one on his right hip and six on his right thigh. A warhead was also found stuck in his underwear.
Police visited the scene and one pair of blood stained black and white Adidas slippers, along with some 9MM spent shells were seen on the southern side of the street where Clarke was found.
Several persons were questioned as investigations continue.
