Guyanese crash out, as T&T stumbles to 2-wicket victory

Guyanese Danielle Manns had a magical spell despite her team suffering a loss.
Kaieteur Sports – Trinidad and Tobago limped to a crucial 2-wicket win over Guyana yesterday when U19 action in the Women’s leg continued at the National Cricket Center, Couva.
In another low-scoring battle, Guyana having won the toss and elected to bat first, were muzzled for just 70 runs in the 27th over.
Only Latoya Williams (16) and Tiea Isaacs (12) got going as Brianna Harricharran (5-20) stole the show along with help from Amrita Ramtahal (3-13) and Kenika Cassar (2-2).
Spinner Danielle Manns almost won the game for Guyana as her 4-18 helped knock the Trinis down to 71-8 as they barely got over the ropes.
Captain Harricharan piloted the chase with 11, while 10 from Samira Naidoo and 15 from opener Kristina Naipaul was enough to seal the deal for the Twin Island Republic ladies.
Isaacs returned to claim 1-11 while Crystal Durant (1-15) and Rebekah Cleto (2-17) tried to script what would have been a magical comeback win. (C. Ross)
