Kaieteur News – Dem boys seh is one thing fuh set a password, but is another thing when de password decide fuh pack up and lef yuh brain three days after. People got deh best intention—deh seh, “I gon use something secure… like P@ssw0rd#2025!” But by de third day, all dem remember is de frustration, de sweat, and de tears trying fuh reset de damn thing.
One man seh he set a password wid plenty meaning: is he wife birthday, de wedding date, de car number plate and de dog name—all in one. But when he try fuh log in, he type “HappyAnniversary123!” and get lock out. He forget he add “!” or was it “@”? He cyah remember if he use uppercase, lowercase, or cusswords.
Dem boys seh people treating passwords like New Year resolution—write it down today, forget it tomorrow. And leh we not talk ‘bout dem who write down de password on a paper and hide it in a “safe place.” So safe, even dem cyah find it. Is either between page 92 and 93 of one old Readers Digest, or behind de fridge near de poison fuh roach.
One lady seh she set she password to “Iwillneverforgetthis1.” De computer seh, “You lie.” Next thing yuh know, she calling she neighbour grandson fuh help reset it, but now de grandson got access to she Netflix, Gmail, and maybe even she bank account. All because she forget if she use “I” or “1” or “!” or “eye.”
Dem boys seh is now a password pandemic. Every website want strong password. Must got number, capital letter, symbol, emotional trauma, blood type and de answer to “What is love?”
Yuh ain’t even get a chance fuh enjoy de security before yuh get a message: “You have tried too many times. Account locked.”
Dem boys seh some people now just giving up. De password now is “123456.” Or better yet—“Iforgetagain.”
Dem boys seh… if yuh can’t remember yuh password, just accept yuh fate. But remember this: de password ain’t forget yuh… yuh forget de password.
Talk half. Leff half.
