Kaieteur News – Yes, 56 days remain before this one finger decides your future — whether you continue to suck salt or you can get a taste of the sweetness from that oil out there.
Let me say this again: None of these four chaps: Irfaan, Norton, Hughes and Jagdeo will ever change that criminal oil contract, and none of them will ever install a proper, independent Petroleum Commission with real oil experts to manage even that miserable 2% we are supposed to get.
So, let me ask you straight: What exactly are they asking ExxonMobil to further do to all of us with that criminal contract deal, to play with us, smile with us, sing the National Anthem to we, or to strip us naked? You answer that question.
You are not dealing with a friendly investor here —You are dealing with a very cunning company. A company that has gangstered nations across Africa, Asia, Latin America, and now in Guyana.
They came here and gangstered us with this one-sided oil contract — and what do our so-called leaders do?
They hired some kids who can’t even manage a cake shop to manage a trillion-dollar oil industry. Ayuh serious in this country? Some of them still got baby teeth in their mouths and you are telling me they are managing Guyana’s future? What madness is this? What are we really doing to ourselves? Are we asking Exxon to rob us quietly, or to screw us openly? Because based on how them managing this oil, it seems like both happening at the same time.
Let me give you the hard facts again: Exxon and partners declared US$13 billion in profits for 2024 — yes, after recovering their 75% cost as agreed to, on that contract. Out of that, Guyana was supposed to get half, plus our 2% royalty. So how much did Guyana receive? US$2.6 billion. And Exxon and partners walked away with US$10.4 billion.
That is not just criminal, what is going on here is a national betrayal.
And if we had a real Petroleum Commission — staffed with real professionals, and not those at the energy department, Guyana would have never been stuck with US$2.6B out of US$13B.
But where are the four political leaders mentioned above on this? Jagdeo and Norton feeding us the same tired Nancy story. Both of them trying to confuse us, saying 75% got to come out first, and they don’t know if it came out, but it sounds right. Sounds right?! That’s the kind of nonsense them serving the nation that’s being robbed blindly. They don’t know, but it seems right.
And yet, with 56 days left to the election, some citizens getting ready to put them in power?
56 days people, please heed my call. Demand minimum of 25% royalty on that ballot paper, demand oil experts to help us mange that oil industry, if not, many of us will continue to suck whatever, them push in our mouths. Not sure if you would like it, not me though. I have this finger fuh them.
Have a nice day.
