Miner stabbed to death at Baramani backdam
Kaieteur News – Two men are in police custody for the murder of a miner on Saturday at Baramani Backdam, Cuyuni River, Region Seven.
The victim has been identified only as “Riley” and according to police, he was reportedly stabbed to death between 00:30 and 02:00hrs near a mining camp.
Police said another miner found his body. The two men in custody have since admitted to police that they were involved in his killing.
“The suspects led investigators to the crime scene, where significant evidence, including suspected murder weapons (knives) and the victim’s blood-stained clothing were recovered” police said.
