Dem Boys Seh…
Kaieteur News – Dem boys hear de government now bringing in tasers fuh de police. Is like dem seh, “Y’all can’t beat people no more, so shock dem instead.” But before dem police could walk round like mobile electric company, dem had to get a lil orientation — and by orientation, we mean real-life zapping experience.
Yes, bai! Dem seh the best way fuh understand how it feel to get tasered is to get tasered yuhself. So picture dis: big, bad police lining up like dem going fuh school vaccine — only this time, instead of a nurse, is a next officer holding a taser like he is a security at a blackout party.
One big police man fall down like plantain tree after de jolt hit he. Another one start speaking in tongues. Dem boys seh one fella get shock so hard, he wake up confessing to things he didn’t even do.
De trainers tell dem, “This is fuh y’all to know how serious it is before y’all use it on citizens.” Which is good, cause in this country, some people got itchy trigger finger — now dem gon have itchy shock finger.
But dem boys seh, is only in Guyana yuh could get government shock therapy free of cost and call it training.’ One of dem officers tell dem boys quietly, “Man, I prefer de old days when all we get was a lecture and lil snacks.” He ain’t know he sign up fuh tek current like a microwave dinner.
Dem boys seh this taser thing better work, cause if not, dem police gon end up tasering demself trying to turn it on. Is one thing fuh uphold de law, is another fuh be lit up like a Christmas tree.
So leh we watch and see — will tasers bring peace, or just more people dancing involuntary break dancing on de pavement? Dem boys know we gat some people in Guyana dem does walk as if dem get tased. So tasing nah gan affect them at all.
Time will tell. But fuh now is… shock and awe, Guyana style!
