Kaieteur News – Detectives were on Thursday led to the area where the body of Jenny Mohamed of Non Pareil, East Coast Demerara (E.C.D), was dumped after she was allegedly murdered by her reputed husband, her daughter and son-in-law.

According to Crime Chief Wendell Blanhum, while the woman’s body was discovered on Thursday June 19^th, it is believed that she had been murdered since June 10^th at her Non Pareil home.

The Guyana Police Force (GPF) launched an investigation after Mohamed was reported missing by relatives. However, during a search of her home, investigators discovered bloodstains, prompting the arrest of the three suspects, the reputed husband, the victim’s daughter Saffia Mohamed and her son-in-law Austin Ramchand.

“The daughter and her husband admitted that they devised a plan to kill the victim after they (3 suspects), along with their child, were subjected to constant abuse by the victim,” the crime chief said. According to him, the victim’s daughter and her son-in-law devised a plan and executed it by killing Mohamed and dumping her body.

The suspects led police ranks to Eccles New Road, along a secluded route leading to Ogle, ECD, where Mohamed’s body was dumped. Her remains were discovered wrapped in a jumbo-sized garbage bag, covered with a tarpaulin, with a rope tied around her neck.

Blanhum said that the body bore multiple stab wounds, and the murder weapon, a knife, was also recovered by investigators at the scene.
