Kaieteur News – Two motorcyclists lost their lives on Sunday, following a collision at Sheet Anchor Village, East Canje Berbice. Dead are 25-year-old Junior Malcolm Matthews of Sheet Anchor, and 29-year-old Stephen Tiloo of Reliance Settlement, East Canje.
According to a statement from the police, at the time of the incident, Matthew was riding motorcycle JSP 1 while Tiloo was riding motorcycle CP 768.
“Enquiries disclosed that at about 20:55hrs, motorcycle CP 768, driven by Tiloo, was proceeding north along the road, allegedly at a fast rate, while motorcycle JSP 1 was proceeding in the opposite direction, also at a fast rate,” police said.
The statement said both cyclists collided as they were passing each other, causing them to fall onto the road receiving injuries about their bodies. Police noted that Matthew and Tiloo were not wearing helmets at the time of the accident.
The men were taken to the New Amsterdam Public Hospital by public-spirited persons, where they were pronounced dead on arrival. The bodies are at the hospital’s mortuary awaiting a post-mortem examination.

Reported previously, they killed each by the N/A Hospital. That is not located
in Sheet Anchor, but by the Asylum Road, towards New Amsterdam Town.
As long as they did not kill other pedestrians, it is ok by me.
A reminder: Speeding Kills.
