Kaieteur News- Dem boys seh if ever deh was a classic case of talk half and lef half, is dis whole back-and-forth pon social media bout de so-called second autopsy of de 11-year-old child dat dead.

Fuss thing fuss, leh we get it straight. Dis nah no second autopsy in de traditional sense. Is a quality assurance review, fuh see if de first set of pathologists do dem work properly. And de verdict is that they did thoroughly and competently. But dem people pon social media done baptize it a “second autopsy”.

One initial report claim how de new pathologist reluctant fuh say de child drown. But dem lef out de part why she seh so. She ain’t see de first autopsy report yet, and since drowning is a diagnosis of exclusion, it woulda been premature fuh she fuh jump to any conclusion without seeing all de evidence, especially de toxicology results of de first and de “second” autopsies.

Next ting yuh hear, somebody report how de lady seh de death “suspicious.” But dem lef out that de pathologist only seh dat based on whah people tell she, not from whah she actually find. Is like seh yuh house haunted ‘cause yuh neighbour claim he hear chains rattling—not because yuh see a ghost yuhself.

Then one report shout out how de pathologist seh “there needs to be a police investigation.” But dem lef out de part that de police already investigate and did not find  any evidence of foul play. So wha really going on?

Den dem gat persons focusing on de statement that says nothing in an autopsy is diagnostic of drowning.  But dem lef out dat de first autopsy find water in de lungs, sinus, and foam in de nostrils—all markers consistent with drowning. But nah, dem lef dat out like it ain’t matter. And dem fuhget to mention that dem nah find evidence of trauma or injuries consistent with the use of force on de body. Is sheer talk half and lef half by some bloggers.

Dem boys seh social media turning this tragedy into a soap opera. All because people keep talking half and leffing out the other half. If yuh gon tell de story, tell it whole—or else yuh helping fuh drown de truth.

Dem boys, for obvious reason can’t end today by saying: “Talk half. Lef half.”
