Dear Editor
I have taken note of the Assistant to the First Lady, Ravin Singh’s interest in the holding of the Guyana Press Association elections.
This election, like many others, is important and I can assure him that the press executive is working to ensure that elections are held very soon. I am very pleased that Mr. Singh has taken an interest in the GPA that goes beyond his laughing emoji on social media on GPA’s statements on critical issues relating to the state of the media in Guyana.
I may even urge the GPA executive to consider reaching out to Mr. Singh in an effort to find a public location for this meeting, as he is responsible for shortlisting applications for the use of public spaces around the seawalls.
Sincerely
Nazima Raghubir
