West Coast Warriors continue dominance at NYNCL 30-over competition
Kaieteur Sports- West Coast Warriors continued their dominance in this year’s New York National Cricket League (NYNCL) 30-over competition after snapping up three victories from four matches.
On Sunday, they trounced hosts Staten Island Cricket Club by 157 runs.

It was a clinical, all-round performance by Warriors whose other game was abandoned due to rain as they maintained a 100% winning record.
They galloped to 185 all out off 26-overs before dismantling Staten Island for a meagre 28 in the 11th over.
The pitch was offering variable bounce as seamer Javed Safeek created early havoc with 3-9 from four probing overs. He bowled in tandem with left-arm pacer Kenly Adams and he too was incisive grabbing 2-10 from four overs as well.
Rajin Rahoman (1-3) and Brandon Cabose (1-6) were part of the demolition job as well.
Only Maahi Shafeek prevented total humiliation by making 20, the only batter to cross the double-digits mark.
Once they were floundering at 6-7, the innings never suggested permanence with wickets falling in heap.
Earlier, Warriors won the toss and decided to take first knock. They had an early wobble but the inform Kevin Christian struck a blazing, 37-ball 69 to lead the way.
The former Guyana youth player Christian now registered his third half-century as he slammed 69 on this occasion. His innings contained eight fours.
Avi Dhanpaul and Cabose contributed 23 and 22 respectively.
Mohammed Shaeikh finished with 3-39 from three expensive overs, delivering for Staten Island.
The players will be off this Sunday due to a Holiday but the action will resume on June 1 when Warriors clashing with Daves West Imports Cricket Club at a venue to be announced.
The win also catapulted Warriors to the top of the points’ table with 7 points. Imperial Cricket Club also with 7 points but Warriors edged them out with better net-run rate: 3.4862 to 2.4444.
