Kaieteur News- Is wha really happen in this country, bai? Dem boys want know if when de doctor dead, de Post Cabinet Press Conference dead with he too. Is like it get bury side by side with him.
Yuh see in Trinidad, Aunty Kamla does hold she Post Cabinet Briefing. She does come out nice and straight, tell de people wha going on, what the government planning to do and so on. It is Transparency like coconut water – straight from de source!
But in Guyana? Eh eh! Cabinet meeting done and everybody disappear like dem go into witness protection. Yuh can’t hear a word—unless is leak or scandal. Dem boys seh is like Cabinet decisions now is national secrets, more classified than oil contract.
And don’t tell me is shortage of people who could hold de press briefing. De government gat nuff people wah gat big titles and small portfolios. Some of dem got more titles than books in de library, but none o’ dem can hold a lil press briefing fuh tell de public wha Cabinet decide? Man, wha really goin on?
Some o’ dem fellas underemployed bad bad. Dem walking round with file in hand whole day, looking busy, waiting fuh photo op and press release. Yuh call dem and de voicemail does say, “Currently in a strategic engagement.” But dem boys seh all dem engaging is lunch and AC.
Dem boys seh maybe Cabinet talking a language we don’t understand. Maybe is why nobody want face de press—scared one question gon expose de whole house o’ card.
So we asking again: When de doctor dead, de Post Cabinet Press Conference dead too? Or it just in a coma, waiting fuh resurrection come next election?
Guyana need answers. Not whisper and photo. Hold a briefing, nah. And bring de truth—don’t sugar-coat it like a birthday black cake.
Dem boys seh transparency ain’t a campaign promise… it’s a duty.
