Kaieteur News- Thirty-nine-year-old Eubeern Bristol called ‘Eusie,’ was remanded to prison on Tuesday, for the murder of Leon Fordyce called ‘Nasty Man’ which occurred on May 4, 2025 at High Dam Angoy’s Avenue, New Amsterdam, Berbice.
Bristol, who appeared at the Albion Magistrates’ Court, was not required to plead to the indictable charge. He was later remanded and will return to court on June 9, 2025.
According to reports, two persons died and a woman was left nursing a stab wound following a brawl at High Dam, Angoy’s Avenue, New Amsterdam, Berbice.
Investigators said that around 22:30hrs, Lafleur was in the company of Neon DeJonge and an identifiable male known only as “Thunder” or “Bristol” when the incident unfolded.
An argument reportedly broke out between the group and Anganisha Newyear regarding threats made to her 26-year-old son, Gregory DeJonge.
“The argument escalated and Newyear was stabbed in the abdomen and Leon Fordyce reportedly received a blow to the head, he was pronounced dead on arrival at the New Amsterdam Hospital. Shawn LaFleur was also stabbed and was escorted to the New Amsterdam Hospital. However, he succumbed to his injuries on Monday, May 5th, 2025, while being transported to the Georgetown Public Hospital,” police said.
