Kaieteur News- One man walk in to he boss office bold bold. He seh, “Boss man, I gah talk to you.”
De boss tell he, “Come in, man. Wha you want?”
De man seh, “Boss, I wuk hey more than ten year. I ain’t come to beat round no bush—I want a raise. I got four big company after me!”
De boss skin he eye. “Four company? Yuh serious? But now ain’t de time fuh raise, de economy tight like a new shoe.”
De employee seh, “Boss, me done know de situation. But remember is me who always reach early, stay late, and never thief even a pen. I loyal. I proactive. I work hard like a donkey in dry season.”
De boss scratch he head, think lil bit, then seh, “Alright. Me ain’t want lose a good wukman. Me gon give you 10% more money and five more day vacation. Deal?”
De man grin from ear to ear, “Deal, Boss! Big up yuhself!”
As he bout fuh walk out, de boss get curious. “By de way,” he ask, “which four company deh after you?”
De man turn round cool cool and seh, “GPL, GTT, GWI, and de Bank!”
