Dear Editor,
We are launching Campaign #How De Coalition Talks Coming? The objective of this campaign is to pressure the People’s National Congress/Reform (PNC/R), Alliance for Change (AFC) and other Opposition parties to form a coalition to contest the upcoming 2025 General and Regional Elections.
So, we are asking, ‘How de coalition talks coming Aubrey and Nigel?’ Guyanese who would like to see the Opposition parties form a coalition to contest the elections are encouraged to make T-shits, online posts, etc. with the slogans/questions: #How de coalition talks coming Aubrey? #How de coalition talks coming Nigel? #How de coalition talks coming Terrence? #How de coalition talks coming PNC/R? #How de coalition talks coming AFC?
I have been getting a lot of positive feedback for the following proposed Coalition government leadership team: Aubrey Norton as President; Nigel Hughes as Prime Minister, First Vice President and Minister of Legal Affairs and Attorney General with responsibility for constitutional reform or Nigel Hughes as Prime Minister, First Vice President and Minister of Home Affairs with responsibility for constitutional reform;
Dr. Terrence Campbell as the Second Vice President and Senior Minister of Natural Resources and Coalition Manager (Meaning that Dr. Campbell will have the responsibility to ensure that the Coalition is managed, sustained and is functional as a government); Dr. Yog Mahadeo, Senior Minister, Public Communication (Also with responsibility for Information Technology Communication and Innovation) or Senior Minister of Business (Commerce and Industry); Ganesh Mahipaul, Minister of Governance and Parliamentary Affairs; and Amanza Walton-Desir as the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Finally, I would like to suggest that Mr. Aubrey Norton, Mr. Nigel Hughes, PNC/R and AFC provide an
update to their supporters and public every Friday on ‘How the coalition talks are going?’
Sincerely,
Citizen Audreyanna Thomas
