Agriculture Ministry building $4.5M guard hut
Kaieteur News- The Ministry of Agriculture is currently seeking contractors to build a guard hut, which it said is estimated to cost approximately $4.5 million.
The ministry, in its invitation for bids, noted that the guard hut is for the Fisheries Department. It is slated to be the main guard hut at the Fish Feed Mill, located at Agriculture Road, Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara (ECD).
According to the tender document, the construction period is set for 60 days. It should be noted that bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures, specified in the Procurement Act 2003 and is open to all bidders. Bids for the project are expected to open on May 15, 2025 at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB) office.
