…wanted bulletins issued for dozen on causing public terror accusations
Kaieteur News- The Guyana Police Force (GPF), between Monday and Tuesday, issued wanted bulletins for 26 persons for allegedly inciting public terror under the Criminal Law Offences Act.
The two persons who have since been arrested have been identified as: Robin Simon and Azriel Asby.
Asby was heard stating in a video that residents from various villages should, “light up de road… uno don’t stop, we have to get justice for Adriana.” The bulletins are in response to the recent intense protests, which erupted following the death of 11-year-old Adriana Younge.
Police in a press statement said, “The Minister of Public Works aided the joint service in cleaning. Joint Services patrols will continue to maintain a strong presence in the regions to ensure law and order.”
Notably, over the past 24 hours, 100 persons have been arrested for various offenses, including robbery under arms, said police.
In addition, 37 motorcycles were seized, which were used to perpetrate crimes. As such, charges will be laid for those in custody.
