…fulfill duties with integrity
Kaieteur News- The Zadok Ministries headed by Bishop Juan Edghill has implored on the Guyana Police Force to free itself from corruption and fulfil its duties with integrity.
Zadok Ministers Fellowship has expressed its deep sorrow and called on the Police Force for the fair dispensing of justice, considering the recent heartbreaking and tragic shootings of 21-year-old Ronaldo Peters and 32-year-old Keon Fogenay in Linden and the murder of 11-year-old Adrianna Younge in Tuschen, East Bank Essequibo.
“We implore to be free from corruption and to fulfill their duties and responsibilities with integrity and diligence. Justice must be served fairly for all, ensuring that victims and their families find solace in the truth,” the statement said.
In a statement, the organisation reminded that “Jesus spoke about the importance of neighbourly love in the Gospel of Mark 12:31- “You shall love your neighbour as yourself.”
To this end, the Minister’s fellowship stressed that love drives the support of one another and extends compassion to those in pain.
“We identify with you in these difficult and sad times. In a time when darkness may seem prevalent, we must reject all forms of evil and stand united in righteousness,” Zadok added.
The body said that the recent incidents point to the urgent need for prayer, healing and unity within the society.
“As we stand together in solidarity with those who mourn, Zadok Ministers Fellowship rejects all forms of evil and commits ourselves as believers in the Lord Jesus Christ to holiness and righteousness as we foster an atmosphere of neighbourly love and support. Together, let us pray for peace, justice, and a better future for all the affected families and our beloved country,” Zadok Ministries stated.
In this regard, the body called upon all churches and believers to unite in prayer for the nation.
“On Sunday, April 27, 2025, we encourage every congregation to dedicate special time during their services to seek healing, restoration, and to eliminate every form of evil from our nation and be guided by the Scriptures,” the statement said.
The body offered condolences to the affected families and communities.
