2025 GCB Female T20 inter-county tournament
Kaieteur Sports – It was a stroll to victory for the Berbice women who destroyed Demerara by 8 wickets yesterday when action in the GCB senior T20 inter-county tournament continued at the LBI Ground.
In a low-scoring affair, Berbice easily handed their opponents a huge loss, bowling Demerara out for 48 runs after a collective rout by the Ancient County bowlers as no player got into double digits.
National spinner Plaffinna Millington snared 3-11, while Tea Issacs (3-17) and veteran all-rounder Shamaine Campbelle (2-8). The Berbice ladies then made light work of the total, guiding the ship to 52-2 in the 8 over.
National player and opener Katana Mentore struck a pair of fours to finish 21 off 17, while Realanna Grimmond hit a four and a six to end on 12* off 7 with Campbelle scoring 8 not out to see home the game.
A brave effort from national spinner Niya Latchman, who picked up 2-10, failed to keep Demerara out of the woodshed.
