Kaieteur News- People calling fuh de big bus fuh come back. Imagine dat! Dem same big metal dinosaurs wah used to terrorize de streets, belching smoke like dragon an breaking down in de middle of de road just when yuh late fuh work. But some people seh bring dem back—an dem serious too!
De first reason? To rescue parents from de madness called school drop-off. Every morning, parents tun Formula 1 drivers, weaving through traffic like dem in Grand Prix. But imagine big, luxury school buses fuh de fancy secondary school pickney dem! Parents could finally retire from de morning battle an sip dem coffee in peace. De only problem? When de bus bruk down in de hot sun, de same pickney wah parents dress up neat, gon be sweating an wondering if dem shoulda tek de regular minibus instead.
But de big bus ain’t just fuh school pickney. Dem boys seh Diamond an Parfaite Harmony need dem too! Taxi fare climbing faster than price fuh coking oil, and minibus drivers feel dem is action movie stuntmen. So big bus sound like a dream—affordable, safe, an most importantly, no sudden overtaking fuh scare yuh half to death. But dem boys ask one question—yuh ever see big bus dodge pothole? If one drop in, dat bus might disappear!
An is not just de pothole problem. We need special road fuh de big bus. Dedicated lanes. But guess wah? De land fuh build dat done give away long time. Businessmen grab up all de roadside space along dem new highways, so no light rail, no bus lanes, not even space fuh a donkey cart.
So what gon happen? Guyana building more roads fuh more cars. Soon, dem gon have to build road through people house. When dat fail, donkey cart gon be de only option left. But don’t worry—at least donkey cart don’t bruk down in de middle of de road. Well… not too often.
