His name has become renowned for the life that he lived showing purity of heart and humility while on earth.

Not posing to be a god, but an ardent servant of the Lord Sri Rama incarnation of Lord Vishnu his name, has traveled from generation to generation.

A compilation of his strengths and powers has been created by the great saint Valmiki to glorify this true devotee of the lord. This rendition is known as the Shri Hanuman Chalisa.

Within these verses, there are hidden secrets of healing, hope, strength, wisdom and power. It has been stated in this divine chant that wherever, these verses enchanted, whoever listens to them will definitely be motivated, uplifted and become spiritually inclined.

It is for this reason; the members of the Bajrang Baan Committee along with their spiritual leader, Pundit Narad Gosine have organized a huge gathering at the National Stadium in Guyana for the first time on Sunday 28th April 2024 from 3.30PM to 7:30 PM to acknowledge the importance of this Hindu deity through chanting. On this day, thousands of Lord Hanuman followers will assemble at the grounds to perform renditions of 21 rounds of Shri Hanuman Chalisas.

This grand event will be called Sri Hanuman Chalisa chanting. Constant repetition of this set of 40 verses repeatedly has proven to bring back the life of a devotee to normalcy.

This event aims to achieve the awakening of self-realization and spiritual god consciousness within each and every one who attends, transforming everyone’s mental awareness into and highly spiritual level.

Pundit Gosine said that “the hope and mission in carrying out this event is to educate everyone while encouraging our younger ones to continue religious practices and moral values in becoming better human beings.”

On Sunday 28th 2024, there are plans for a grand procession with images of Lord Hanuman along with music starting from the Demerara Harbour Bridge starting at 2:30pm, heading towards the stadium.

Within the programme of that day, there will be the chanting of Sri Hanuman Chalisas along with religious and sacred dances, vegetarian food, Tassa, vendors with various foods and sweets.

The sight of a 30-foot-tall Lord Hanuman figure would definitely be the attraction, meanwhile as the night continues, the hype of the chanting will accelerate to a maximum where the energy will be felt by the talented musicians with the sound of their, drums, guitars, harmoniums, keyboards and percussion creating a heavenly experience.

Free public event is open to everyone to come and enjoy a spiritual moment with no meat, no alcohol, no fights, no animosity and no hatred.
