Kaieteur Sports – Aditya Kadarnauth produced a solid all-round performance while Michael Subadar fell one short of a century as VNS CC registered a convincing 231-run win over West Demerara Legends when the West Demerara Cricket Association 40-over tournament commenced on Sunday last.
Batting first at Kawall ground in Canal No. 2, VNS CC posted 274-9. Subadar struck eight fours and eight sixes in a top score of 99, while Kadarnauth slammed eight fours and two sixes in scoring 88. Mohan Chatram scored 37 and Kenard Lewis 15.
Chris Mangal claimed 4-18 and Avinash Sharanadanan 3-35.
West Demerara Legends were bowled out for 43 in 11.5 overs in reply. Kadarnauth bagged 6-13.
