Kaieteur Sports – A fine half century from Golcharran Chulai and a four-wicket haul from Mohandass Surujpaul handed Night Warrior a 54-run win over Storm Troopers when the Wakenaam Cricket Committee/ Untouchable Sounds U19 40-over tournament continued recently.
Batting first at the Wakenaam Community Centre ground in Good Success, Night Warrior made 133 all out in 24.4 overs. Chulai added 78 for the sixth wicket with Trivel Evans to resurrect the innings after they were reduced to 22-5. Chulai struck seven fours and one six in a top score of 55 from 48 balls while Evans made 29 with two fours and two sixes off 18 balls. Gladewin Henry picked up 4-12, Devendra Hansraj claimed 3-18 and Shahid Mohamed 2-11.
Storm Troppers were bowled out for 79 in 12.2 overs in reply. Hansraj made 28 with two fours and three sixes off 17 balls, while Henry scored 16 and Ramesh Ramnarine 10. Mohandass Surujpaul captured 4-27 and Vivek Ramnarine 2-8.
