Kaieteur News – We gat a lot of political vendettas playing out in de country. And we know dem gat individuals who when dem can’t get to you, dem does try fuh get to you through your family and friends.
We also gat a lot of scrawny dogs around. Dem does do anything fuh a plate of food or for a pat on dem head. Dem does bark and snarl, trying fuh mek themselves look more fearsome than they really are. But there is no scrawnier a dog than those who willingly allow themselves to be used as political hatchet dogs.
When governments can’t tackle their opponents head-on, they resort to attacking their loved ones instead. Why? To feel even. To seek revenge through a proxy. Perhaps it’s a desperate attempt to create fear and submission within their targets. Whatever the motivation, it’s a pathetic and cowardly move.
The political lapdogs, who eagerly perform these hatchet jobs on behalf of the government, are the true enemies of freedom and integrity. They’ll sell their own mothers for a few pieces of silver, and in some cases, they probably have. They’ll gleefully engage in character assassination and slander, all the while masquerading as defenders of the truth.
Except that they won’t know the truth if they saw it. Not a shred of evidence dem can produce. Dem talk to de whole stadium and can’t find someone who would provide dem name. Not only can’t they provide a single name. But they can’t produce a shred of verifiable information. But they’re quick to launch personal attacks on innocent people. This practice of vicariously targeting individuals through their families is unethical When dem can’t win the argument, dem does end up resorting to personal attacks on innocent persons. It’s time we called these scrawny political lapdogs out for what they are – spineless bullies, puppets of a system that seeks to crush dissent by any means necessary.
