Dear Editor,
Kaieteur News – The perceived soft approach being taken against errant officials, who continue to defy the call to demonstrate their integrity, by making statutory declarations to the commission of the same name, has gone on for far too long. This time another warning is issued to regional officials (SN August 13).
The continued flouting and disregard of a requirement by law can be viewed as not only disrespectful but contemptuous and demands less words and more aggressive action. This state of affairs cannot continue. It is time for the commission to act as it is empowered to do.
Sincerely,
Shamshun Mohamed
