Dear Editor,
It would be interesting to learn of Mr. Nascimento whether he knows if any of the several international communication engagements of which he spoke had to be defended as exhaustively as his last local experience.
Interestingly he assumes that he is not well enough known as a professional by someone who was first a Broadcasting Officer in 1957 within the Government Information Services under Arthur J. Seymour, and who worked with colleagues such as Lloyd Searwar, Wordsworth McAndrew and other stalwarts of the day.
The undersigned was also well respected both by local Bookers Sugar Estates and Booker London after graduating from the London School of Economics. This professional’s career in the sugar industry and at the Caricom Secretariat consistently involved the management of ‘Communication’. During his time Mr. Nascimento was well known to him.
Regards,
E.B. John
