Kaieteur News – In the mystique hours of the night
When everyone lay sleeping
I’m wide awake,
Like a sheep without a shepherd.
Thoughts of wanting the aggrieved to get justice
The wolves of this world come with such a rush
To crush the hearts of purity and compassion.
These menaces steal away the innocence from the hearts that were once pure.
They lure you in with their deceptive lies.
Lies so sweet even the skeptic believes
These wolves come in sheep’s clothing
Plotting their scheme to plunder and destroy.
Thoughts of their evil are hidden in the stygian darkness.
Why can people be so heartless?
You prey on the helpless
Take advantage of their vulnerability,
Without considering of the damage you’ve caused them.
I lie awake in the still hours of the night…
Wondering how can we can accept this travesty!
I lie away at night thinking it is time we make it right.
Let justice prevail and let this heartless monster pay for his misdeeds!
You deserve no less; a young blossom defiled; innocence taken so callously.
