Kaieteur News – Police on Friday arrested a Moruca, Region One man for being in possession of 22.2 grams of marijuana.
According to the police, Anthony Stoby, a resident of Moruca, North West District (NWD), was arrested during a mobile patrol at Kumaka Waterfront, (NWD), after they observed him behaving disorderedly, and the waist of his right-side pants was bulky.
The police requested to search him and they allegedly found a knife in his pants waist. It was also reported that a further search was conducted and they found in his pocket a transparent plastic bag containing 19 zip-lock plastic bags, each containing a quantity of leaves, seeds, and stems suspected to be Cannabis Sativa.
The police said the man was told of the offence committed, cautioned, and taken to the Acquero Police Station. There the ganja was weighed and it amounted to 22.2 grams.
