Kaieteur News – Dem boys gat a story fuh yuh, an’ it’s sweeter than dem sugar-coated promises dem politicians does mek during election season. De story of Guyana was always a little slippery issue. It full of oily escapades.
So, we got Trotty who did sign de oil contact. When people start to criticize de contract, he jump up an’ declares dat he was commanded, yes, commanded, to ink dat oil contract. But when dem critics start hollering like howler monkeys, guess what he do? He zip it, my friends, for a whole seven years! Silence became golden.
Now, de man sprouts wings of a literary eagle and pens a book, swearin’ by all de holy oil reserves, dat he had Cabinet and Presidential blessings to sign dat mighty contract.
But here’s de kicker, dear readers: his colleagues, de ones who should back him up like strong gusts of oil winds, are nowhere to be found! None of dem nah come forward fuh corroborate de man story and fuh support de man. It’s like dey runnin’ from dat contract faster than a jaguar chasin’ its dinner.
Dem boys askin’ why dey keepin’ mum? Are they scared of dem critics? Or is dey playin’ hide-and-seek like mischievous cats, thinkin’ dey clever. But it sure gat dem scratchin’ dem heads heads .
Dem boys imagine Trotter shoutin’ from de rooftops, “I had de green light! I ain’t no rogue oilman!”
But his colleagues be like, “Nah, bro, we ain’t touchin’ dat oil-stained tale with a ten-foot pole.”
