Man found dead in trench at Sophia
Kaieteur News – An unidentified man was on Friday found dead in a trench at Sophia, Georgetown with a surgical bandage wrapped around his head.
Police said that the discovery was made around 10:00hrs at the intersection of Dennis Street and B-Field Sophia.
The dead man appeared to be of East Indian descent and was clad in a black-and-white striped jersey with long khaki pants.
Police intends to review footage from security cameras in the area and have already questioned several persons in their ongoing investigation to find what happened to the man that resulted in his death.
