Kaieteur News – Two men died on Monday following an accident along the No. 68 Public Road, Upper Corentyne, Berbice.
The men have been identified as 38-year-old Harrynarine Ramnauth of lot 115 No. 60 Village and 17-year-old Roano Rajpaul also of No. 60 Village.
Police said the accident took place at approximately 00:30 hrs on June 19 2023 and Kaieteur News understands that the men were proceeding north on motorcycle CM 1594, reportedly at a fast rate, when they lost control while negotiating a turn on the No.68 Public Road. As a result, they crashed into a sign before colliding with a concrete bus shed.
They were taken to the Skeldon Public Hospital where they were pronounced dead.
A post mortem examination conducted on the bodies of the men Friday revealed that they died from multiple injuries about their bodies.
