Kaieteur News – At the recent opening of bids at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB) office, it was revealed that the reconstruction of the Western Hog Island Primary School, Region Three will be done at an estimated cost of $53,999,220.
Kaieteur News understands that the school is an old structure and has begun to deteriorate over the years; hence proposals have been made for a new one.
To reconstruct the school, 12 contractors have applied for the contract.

Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development
Provision of Security Service for the Regional Democratic Council of Region Nine.
Extension of Bagotville Primary School.
Reconstruction of Western Hogg Island Primary School.
Extension of Leonora Secondary School.
Upgrading of Bus Shed Street, Danielstown Essequibo.
Upgrading of Sandy Network Eastern Lima Essequibo.
Ministry of Public Works
Rehabilitation of Garden of Eden #2 Access Bridge.
Ministry of Education
Supply and Installation of Generator Parts.
