Dem Boys Seh…
Kaieteur News – In the illustrious Kingdom of G, where wisdom and wit were as plentiful as the feasts hosted in the grand hall, there sat a grand table. Upon one side of this lacquered table sat four foreign representatives from a distant land. They had journeyed from afar to help protect the kingdom from the rising sea.
Their expressions were a mix of curiosity and amazement because facing them on the other side of the table and occupying the seat of honour, was the Oracle – the possessor of the Holy Grail, the fountain of all knowledge, the ultimate arbiter of public morals.
The Oracle, with an air of self-importance, leaned back in his chair, his flowing robes draping elegantly around him. His gaze, peering down at the representatives, spoke volumes. For the Oracle was under the delusion that his singular presence rendered all other opinions unnecessary. Who needs help or advice when you are the embodiment of omniscience? Who needs help when the Oracle knows it all?
With a smug smile plastered on his face, the Oracle dismissed the notion of taking notes or employing scribes. Why waste time on such trivialities when his infallible memory would serve as the ultimate recorder of all discussions?
The representatives exchanged bemused glances; their eyebrows arched in skepticism. They wondered where the King was. Had he gone off on one of his jaunts or is this how the Kingdom of G is administered? – through the unlimited wisdom of the Oracle. If so, not even the sea dare invade!
