– DVA League return on Monday
Kaieteur Sports – In a thrilling match at the Demerara Volleyball Association (DVA) League, the Young Achievers Volleyball Team emerged victorious against the Guyana Defence Force Team.
The match was held at the National Gymnasium and was witnessed by enthusiastic volleyball fans.
The Young Achievers Team started strong, taking the first two sets with scores of 25-18 and 25-23.
However, the Guyana Defence Force Team fought back in the third set, dominating with a score of 25-15. The Young Achievers regained their confidence in the fourth set and closed out the match 26-24.
Klondyke Rodney and Creston Rodney were the top scorers for the Young Achievers Team with 11 and eight points respectively. On the other hand, Omari Joseph was the top scorer for the Guyana Defence Force Team with an impressive 14 points.
The DVA League promises to continue its exciting action as the Premier Eagles Volleyball Team takes on the VenGuy Volleyball Team on May 22 at 8pm in the National Gymnasium.
