Kaieteur News – Continuing with her menstrual hygiene initiative to end period poverty in Guyana, First Lady Arya Ali last Sunday successfully held her second fundraising event titled ‘Chari-Tea.’
This year’s event was titled as the ‘fashion edition’ and was exclusively sponsored by Dilmah Tea (distributed by BPI Guyana).
Individual cups of freshly brewed Dilmah Tea were served to the guests in attendance from the 18 options of tea that ranged from Pure Mint, Chamomile, Spice Chai, Rosehip, and many others.
Dilmah tea is best known for its single origin 100% pure Ceylon teas. Every one of Dilmah’s tea leaves, is grown in the highlands of Ceylon, which is the producer of the world’s finest tea. Garden fresh, unblended tea is a hallmark of Dilmah single origin tea. It also explains why Dilmah tea is fresher, richer, and full of flavour. Discerning tea drinkers will recognize the distinct difference in the very first sip.
In a press release, it was stated that the company believes that responsible, sustainable change for the people we work with requires a concerted effort, and a vision of making business a matter of human service and to support those who need a little bit of kindness.
It was stated too that, this year’s “Chari-Tea” was enhanced with a dazzling fashion show, show casing local talented designers such as Randy Madray, Maxi K Williams, Esther Samuels, Michelle Cole, and Hashim and Melicia Alli.
