By Sean Devers
Taylor Fernandes showed how much she has improved when she was clinical in her victory on Thursday evening at the Georgetown Club’s Squash Courts, on the second day of the National play-offs in preparation for the upcoming Senior Caribbean Area Squash Association (CASA) Championship, in Jamaica next month.
Playing in the last match of the night, Fernandes, who has gotten much stronger and fitter despite her relative inactivity due to Covid-19 Pandemic, used the angles with her shots against the experienced Akeila Wilshire to beat her in three straight games, 11-4, 11-4, 11-7.
In other games, Nyran Joseph defeated Steven Xavier 11-7, 11-3, 11-9 while Larrissa Wilshire was all over Abosaide Cadagon and won 11-3, 11-4, 11-7.
