Is there more than what meets the eye?
Dear Editor,
I read the GuySuCo advertisement appearing in the July 10, 2022 newspapers where the company spoke about its need to purchase articulated tractor. I was educated or would say miseducated it seems.
I was around when GuySuCco used Cameco tractors. I remember we used to describe time as lazy and thirsty. They hardly worked and used a lot of fuel. But as a concerned observer, I shall be grateful if GuySuCo could answer the following questions:
- Is it true that Game tractor company has not made a profit in the last three years?
- Is it also true that the Game tractors are used for haulage and not tillage?
- Also, isn’t it true that since the late 1990s, GuySuCo Board and Management banned the use of articulated tractors for tillage?
Editor, I was around the sugar industry in those times. I remember we had many renowned engineers and personnel who studied this matter. I have to wonder why we are going back to a failed past? Is there more than what meets the eye?
